simple snail

Not many animals are so distinctive to let you build them out of 4 simple Lego Duplo bricks. For this minimalist inspired build it’s best to use 2 different colors – in this case snail’s house really stands.

Tower crane

For every construction site fan out there, a simple and sleek Lego Duplo tower crane. I used a bit special brick here to make it able to rotate. Height-wise – one can always extend it if needed. I had to keep it low on this picture because of my small lightroom “studio”.

Simple dog #3

Another take on a simple Duplo doggy. I tried my best to keep it under 7 bricks. I opted for a slightly different head variant and combined a lined brick for lower jaw and tail. Color-wise the build is pretty lame, I know – I just don’t have all those bricks in a single color.

Santa and Rudolph

Not quite the right time, however, here is my take on a Santa and Rudolph christmas couple. Starting point from design point of view was to make them as simple and easy to make as possible, using standard and basic Lego Duplo bricks.

Edaphosaurus

An “earth lizard”, known as Edaphosaurus had a giant sail along his back. Even the scientist are unsure about its function. Maybe I went over the top with it’s giant teeth, but it looks great to me this way.

Smurfs

Here’s my take on these cartoon characters. Many generations will identify with these lovely characters since they’ve been around for 50+ years! Here in super basic Lego Duplo edition, from the left: random smurf (be it Brainy, Greedy, Vanity, Lazy, Clumsy, Hefty, Jokey, Dreamy or Grouchy), Papa Smurf (the leader) and the only female character, Smurfette.

Dimetrodon

Four legged creature, famous by its elongated spikes on the back. It’s name, however, represents “two shapes of tooth” in reference to sets of both small and large teeth.

Ichtyostega

Amphibian dinosaur, named as “fish roof” (Greek). Its skull may not’ve been as large as of my Duplo reproduction one, but it surely was an evil looking beast.

Euoplocephalus

Another one of armored beasts, hammer-tailed Euoplocephalus. In reality looking much like already featured Ankylosaurus, however, I tried a different aproach to make some difference between them.

Ankylosaurus

Heavily armored body and massive bony tail – a tank in dinosaur form! Armored stuff this time captured in brown color. Despite its looks, he was herbivorous.
